Connect Your Student Account

Link your student Google account so you can access and submit classroom assignments.

  • You can sign in to Type the Word
  • Your teacher shared an assignment in Google Classroom
  • You are enrolled in the class using the same Google account you will connect
  1. Sign in to Type the Word.
  2. Go to /classroom.
  3. Find the Student Connection section.

Students use this card to connect their Google account.

  1. Click Connect as Student.
  2. Select your enrolled school Google account on the account chooser.
  3. Continue through the Google sign-in confirmation screen.
  4. Approve the Google Classroom consent prompt.

Use the same Google account enrolled in the class roster.

After redirect back to /classroom, confirm:

  • Connected as Student
  • Link to View dashboard

Connected state means your student token is ready for submissions.

  1. Click View dashboard.
  2. Confirm your courses are listed.
  3. Open a course to review available assignments.
  1. Return to /classroom.
  2. Click Disconnect Student Account.
  3. Confirm Connect as Student returns.
  • No courses appear: You may be connected with the wrong Google account.
  • Cannot start assignments: Confirm your teacher has published the assignment.
  • Not enrolled errors: Ask teacher to verify your enrollment in Classroom.
  • Prompt says connect student account first: Reconnect on /classroom and retry.
